2009 All-Star Game, St. Louis //

With the Cardinals opening a new stadium in 2006, they will host the All-Star game at some point between 2008-2010. With the logo I created, the year can easily be changed.

I wanted to use the birds on the bat and used that as a central element. Using St. Louis' famous landmark, backed with a outline of homeplate created a nice local feel to the logo.

I'm planning on creating a retro package in the future. I think it'd be really cool for the All-Star game to look back on its history with a Classic logo and all players wearing throwback uniforms and what better place than in St. Louis with its rich baseball history and a new classic ballpark.

Upcoming anniversaries for the game are:
2008: 75 years since first All-Star game
2009: 80th All-Star Game
2010: 70 years since first St. Louis All-Star game
