With my work I try to have as many styles as I can. My goal is for you to recognize a work that I've done, but at the same time, make it unique and unlike any other. I don't want to slip into a cookie-cutter attitude that some designers today have.

I design with a foot both in the past and in the future. I look at ideals set forth by the artists that came before me. I admire artists such as the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright who built his buildings with a "Form follow Function" attitude. And I pay tribute to the ever popular; "Keep it simple stupid."

But at the same time I want to keep my eye on what my fellow colleagues are doing as well as what we will do in the future. It's important not to become stale-not to follow in your own footsteps. That is perhaps the most difficult part of our business; keeping an eye to the past but not living in it.
